A Google account grants you access to everything that Google has to offer, including Gmail, YouTube, Drive, and more. But what if you’ve had enough and want out? Can you delete a Google account permanently? Yes, you can absolutely can and it takes just a few minutes.

Before you go rushing through the steps, keep in mind there’s a lot of data you’ll be losing forever if you go down this path. Google automatically deactivates accounts after 180 days, so you could just let the account go dormant. Of course, we’re not trying to talk you out of it. Maybe you have a secondary account you don’t use anymore, or have some other reason to hit the kill switch.
