Evolution of the Infinix Hot Series

Infinix Hot 30 series launched early this month. The Hot 30 succeeds the Hot 20 series launched late last year. The Hot lineup is the company’s best-performing series in comparison to the midrange Note and flagship Zero series. The Hot series targets the 18-25 demographic.

We take a look back at how the Infinix Hot series has evolved from its first Hot device launched in early 2015. It’s worth noting that Infinix has been in Kenya for close to 10 years – they first set camp in the country in December 2013.

The first Hot was announced in January 2015 and came with a 5″ 480p screen, 16GB storage, 1GB RAM, a removable 2000mAh battery and was powered by Android KitKat. For cameras, it had a 2MP selfie camera and 5MP main camera. It was really popular as it was sold for Ksh 6,999.
