Spend on mobile sports games rose 16%

Mobile gamers spent 16% more on sports games in the US over the last 12 months according to new data from Sensor Tower. Players spent a total of $648.8 million with top games such as Golf Clash from Playdemic attracting around $132.8 million in spending alone. COVID-19 lockdowns meant that gamers were looking for opportunities to spend their time at home and this drove interest in mobile sports games. Other top games were 8 Ball pool and Fishing Clash.
